Stop two of the most common yet aggravating weeds - pesky dandelion and large crabgrass weeds - before they start with SCOTTS® TURF BUILDER®. Contains 100% corn gluten meal; a natural; pre-emergent weed seed preventer. For best results; apply before weeds appear; usually in early Spring and again in late Summer or early fall. Ideal for established perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass lawns. Not for use on newly seeded lawns or when over-seeding or re-sodding.

What are the Three Numbers on the Fertilizer Bag and What do They Mean?

The three numbers on the bag (such as 10-0-5) indicate the ratio of three key nutrients included in all fertilizers: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, always listed in this order. Meaning, if a bag reads 21-4-3 it contains 21 percent nitrogen, 4 percent phosphorus, and 3 percent potassium.

Nitrogen: Boosts growth and green colour. Slow release nitrogen breaks down over time to continue to enhance top growth.

Phosphorus: Feeds seedlings and stimulates new root growth.

Potassium: Provides all around vigour and health while strengthening for resistance to disease and stress.

Sod is a perishable item that must be laid within 24 hours of the time it is cut. Therefore, we ask that you call a couple of days ahead to order/reserve, as we may not have fresh sod coming in daily. 


​Sod is Kentucky Bluegrass, which grows best in the sun. A roll measures 2 feet by 5 feet, for a total of 10 square feet per roll.
